Susanne is the founder and owner of Hand Wellness Occupational Therapy. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Seton Hall University and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Mercy College. Susanne has advanced training in Upper Extremity Orthopedics and Hand Therapy. Her specialty is treating conditions and injuries of the hands, wrists and fingers.
Susanne also participated in EDS ECHO. This is a series of programs and courses for healthcare professionals who want to improve their ability to care for people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS), hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) and associated symptoms and conditions. She is especially interested in how these conditions affect the upper extremity.
Susanne Corrales is also a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200), specializing in Restorative Yoga. She incorporates mindfulness and stress reduction into treatment sessions. Often, clients who struggle with the anxiety of participating in Orthopedic Rehabilitation find this approach to be reassuring.
Susanne is the mother of three teenagers. Her passion is working with clients who have also raised their families, and are now ready to focus on their own health goals and home. If you are considering Zebra Splints, Hand Wellness OT can provide some alternatives.
